Bio:
Born and brought up in Norwich, Harriet Fraser (www.harrietfraser.com) began to perform as a soloist while working as a family doctor in central London and quickly became known for her oratorio work. She set medicine aside and turned to singing full-time.
Now a resident of Los Angeles, California, Harriet is a passionate interpreter of the oratorio repertoire and is in demand as an oratorio and recital soloist. As well as performing all over the UK and in Beijing, China, LA performances include Beethoven’s Mass in C, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Haydn’s Creation, Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Bach’s Magnificat, and St Matthew Passion at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, under conductor Grant Gershon. A performer with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, as chorister and soloist, Harriet has worked under conductors Grant Gershon, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Gustavo Dudamel amongst many others. Harriet has performed with the Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble, the Millennium Consort Singers, at the UnSung Concert series, and with the LA Composers Forum. She is a member of Tritone, a trio for soprano, clarinet and piano. The trio has performed all over Southern California since their formation in early 2015, and won the prestigious Beverly Hills International Competition. They are passionate interpreters of living composers. Harriet also records with the a cappella group SATB-Los Angeles and works as a session singer in Los Angeles. Her voice can be heard on many film soundtracks including Frozen, Ice Age, Big Hero 6, Creed, Star Wars and Jumanji.
