Bio:
Virenia Lind is a regular artist with Los Angeles Opera and Los Angeles Master  Chorale. With LA Opera she has performed in over 100 productions, including roles  in such operas as Die Frau ohne Schatten, Le Nozze di Figaro, Nicholas and  Alexandra (with Placido Domingo), Magic Flute, La Rondine and Rigoletto. With LA  Master Chorale, she has appeared numerous times as a soloist (Faure Requiem,  Resphigi’s Laud to the Nativity, and Handel’s Messiah, to name a few). Other Los  Angeles Music Center debuts include Peer Gynt with the Los Angeles Philharmonic  (Esa-Pekka Salonen conducting), The Black Rider (Robert Wilson, Tom Waits) at the Ahmanson Theatre, and The Christians at the Mark Taper Forum. Regional credits include San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival (First Lady/Magic Flute), San Diego  Symphony (Mabel/Pirates of Penzance), Long Beach Opera (La Rondine, Bluebeard), soloist with Carmel Bach and Ojai Music Festivals, and numerous musical theatre and operetta productions throughout Southern California. 

Virenia made her NYC debut as Glinda/ Auntie Em in The Wizard of Oz (Radio City and 1st National Tour). Other national credits include Utah Festival Opera  (Musetta/La Boheme), Kansas City Chamber Orchestra (Dew Fairy/Hansel and Gretel), and Kansas City’s Theater Under the Stars (Sarah/Guys and Dolls, Julie/Carousel, Hodel/Fiddler on the Roof). International credits include Don Giovanni (Savonlinna Opera Festival, Finland), Webber’s Starlight Express (Germany), and featured soloist with the London Philharmonia Orchestra (Disney’s Fantasia Tour). Additionally, Virenia can be heard on a wide array of studio  recordings and over 100 major motion picture soundtracks.
