Los Angeles Opera, Wilshire Blvd. Temple, Covina Christian Science Church. I don't conduct.
Recording/TV/Film:
Roger Wagner Chorale, 1990, for Toshiba EMI, which only sold in Japan, and had four solos in this project when I was called to come in and replace another singer who was ill; some other minor recording jobs, but not anything most people would be familiar with; some extra work years ago
Highlights of your musical career:
1994 Three tenors concert at Dodger Stadium
Favorite choral work(s):
My favorite large works include Messiah; B minor Mass; Ein Deutsches Requiem; Requiem's of Mozart, Verdi, Faure, and Duruflé; Dona Nobis Pacem, Hodie, and Carmina Burana.
A defining moment of favorite LA Master Chorale onstage experience:
Wow-there are so many things I could think of, but the one that had the greatest impact on me was singing with LA Opera in Billy Budd. Rod Gilfry was great in the title role and Robert Tear was a great Captain Vere (and a pleasure to talk with). It was the most intense stage experience I've had both musically and theatrically.
What are you listening to these days?
Talk radio shows and rock 'n roll CD's-mostly in the car as I commute. Occasionally I put in a CD of Holst's The Planets or Beethoven's Symphony no.9
I'm greatly blessed to have a happy and healthy family-God is good!
