Bio:

Mezzo Aleta Braxton began her career in LAMC as a tour soloist with Roger Wagner. She has performed in LA Opera's 1986 inaugural production of Otello and has since performed in over 160 productions, possibly the first woman of color to reach this milestone with any U.S opera company. LA Opera highlights include the Grammy-winning The Ghosts of Versailles, Candide and Porgy and Bess. Ms. Braxton serves on the AGMA National Board of Governors and has served as AGMA Delegate for several productions with LA Opera. In addition, she has toured and recorded with The McNeil Jubilee Singers. She has sung on over 100 film soundtracks that include Thor, Nope, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Frozen. Television appearances: Malcolm in the Middle, E.R. and Glee. Stage directing: Wagner's Die Feen, La Voix Humane and The Telephone for Lyric Opera of LA. Recording credits include Disney’s 12 Days of Christmas and Songs From The Sea and recordings with Barbara Streisand, Christina Aguilera and Josh Groban. Ms. Braxton is on the voice faculty of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
