Composer Eric Whitacre and poet Charles Anthony Silvestri, longtime collaborators and close friends, come together for their most personal and expansive work to date. Whitacre, the Master Chorale’s Swan Family Artist-in-Residence, has created a powerful score for Silvestri’s heartfelt poetry exploring the fragile line between love and loss. The Sacred Veil includes “I Fall,” memorably performed by the Master Chorale in June 2017.
The Sacred Veil was co-commissioned by the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Monash Performing Arts Center in Australia.
